Aborting Themselves From The Truth?Thank you Yahweh, for true life! Thank You for breathing life into all of us. I have a kind little buddy, who I met at an all-ages music club, years ago. She has often confided in me, over the years. Like a younger sister. Her life at either parent's homes, has not always been the easiest for her. Yesterday, Kendalyn and I were on our way to a show at the P.M.C. House. I hadn't talked with my friend, in a good while. Randomly, she started sending my text messages, telling me she had cut her hair. It felt like there was definitely more that she was trying to say. Suddenly, I received a message, "Please don't be mad at me, but I'm having an abortion tomorrow." (To paraphrase some text messaging). There were a number of prayers, at the P.M.C. House. I tried to talk to her more about the abortion. But wasn't able to get ahold of her, the rest of the night. This morning, Kendalyn was really pressed to get ahold of the girl. After some text messaging back and forth (good old fashioned cell phones), she finally was able to talk on the phone. The girl was already at a clinic. This led into the girl's boyfriend angrily text messaging Kendalyn, sending her foul words, mocking her, eventually harrassing her over the phone, etc. Kendalyn told her she loved them, and was trying to protect our friend from the trauma that will result from such things. I just came into the room, to find Kendalyn very sorrowed. I was hoping some of you could lift her up in your prayers. I've known other girls, who have gone through similar situations. If their only impression of an alternative to abortion, is someone picketing outside the clinic - What more can the church do? So many of this generation, associates so many ideas, with a stereotype that has hurt them, or who they spend their life trying not to be. Are there other ways that we can be a friend, and educate them on the truth, through love? I used to get caught up in trying to redefine the faith. Many of those ideas, almost led to my ruin. But I now wonder - How can we show people the truth, in a way that those who will listen, will open their ears? I would challenge you to pray, that Yahweh would cast away the blinder people have used (the modern American church), to block them from Him. To see Him, for who He is. Obviously, this is only one of many things the world gets into. But today just really made me think about that. Wondering what it would be like, if my friend had seen the truth, without a preconceived view of whether or not she should digest it. And also, I hope that we wouldn't judge any other parts of the Body, because they do things in a different way. Those that might fit that "modern American church". We are all the Body, and all can uplift and love each other. I wasted many years of my life, running from all of you, because of these sorts of things. If only I had spent that time, trying to show the Body things that concerned me. I am so thankful, that our Creator is so merciful. So merciful, that He can create a life that will never breath life in this world. I believe Someone that merciful, would celebrate that new life, in His Kingdom this very day. Thank you, Yahweh, for a new member of our family. Just some random thoughts of the moment, that I wanted to share. Hope you are well today. - Joe
