Update on the Swindlers

Hey all ~
 
I was able to see Shannon this morning and it was such a relief to my heart.  She was pale and tired, but in good spirits.  She was also able to hold a long term coherent conversation, which she admitted was a first for her since being in the hospital. 
 
As far as Shannan's health is concerned, she's not out of the woods yet.  I talked to one of her Dr.s this am and there are still some issues with her blood cells hemolysing (bursting) and her kidney function is not where it needs to be yet.  She has renal tubule necrosis, but they are hopeful that there will be no long term effects on her kidneys.  She had hemodialysis last night and may have it again today or tomorrow.  She may also have to have hemopherisis to remove the bad blood cells & replace them with healthy ones.  She will stay in the ICU though today at least.
 
The baby "Sprout" has a name now!  Ian Timothy Swindler!!  Darby is a proud (and obedient) big sister!!
 
Please pray for a speedy recovery for Shannan as this is typically a slow recovery illness.  We still need breast milk for Ian so pray that Shannan is able to breast feed in the weeks to come, and that the volunteer pumpers are able to produce enough milk!  Tim is wiped out and holding everything in - he needs as much prayer as any Father with the world on his shoulders...
